Rustang Race Car – Electrical Working

We got some work done on the electrical portion of the Tuner School Rustang Race Car project. Satisfying to see little things functioning for their first time like the headlights and the radiator fan. Small portions of the full build but successes none the less!

Nitrous Express Install Day 2

2 days into nitrous week for Tuner School Summer 2014 students. Taking care of wiring all the components today. We should dyno by Friday!

After Hours

Tuner School students are able to use the shop after class hours to work on their own cars. It sure is nice to use a lift and some professional quality tools!

Nitrous Express Week Begins

Tuner School Summer 2014 students begin installing Nitrous kits this week from Nitrous Express. It is going to be a fun week of running the lines and eventually seeing the dyno results.

McLeod RST Street Twin Clutch

That is one beautiful clutch! This McLeod RST Street Twin clutch is going on our Rustang race motor. The great folks at McLeod provided this twin organic clutch kit that can handle up to 800hp and still be streetable.

Rustang Engine and Transmission Installed

Great day at Tuner School Summer 2014! We mated together the Rustang race car project engine to the transmission, and dropped it into the car! We really can not wait to see what this car will do, this is a great project!

Rustang Engine Complete

This engine will be going in the Race Car “Rustang” project. Tuner School Summer 2014 just completed the engine build and will soon go in the car. The motor is a stock LS3 bottom end with fresh rings and clevite H-series bearings. It has LSA heads from a CTS-v with Texas speed valve spring kit….

Track Day

Tuner School Summer 2014 students were able to do some 1/8 mile drag strip runs at our very own track on the School facility, Lonestar Motorsports Park. It was a fun time learning how the cars handle the power mods added and learning how to race on a prepped track.
