How to use VA Benefits to pay for Tuner School
Firstly, thank you for your service to our country. Your service and the sacrifices you have made in order to protect our American freedoms do not go unrecognized. We are honored to be able to assist you in attending Tuner School. In cooperation with the Veteran’s Administration, your tuition to Tuner School may be covered by your VA Benefits. If you plan to use anything other than Chapter 33 (Post 9/11) to pay for Tuner School, please call 979.885.1300 and speak with our Tuner School Director or Registrar.
All required documentation, the completed application, along with the $100.00 application fee shall be submitted to be considered for Tuner School. However, if you do not have immediate access to the required documents, we will accept the application and the application fee. We ask that you send in the required documents as soon as possible.
Failure to do so or waiting until you have all of the required documents could significantly slow the registration process. Also, there is a great demand for Tuner School, and the classes fill quickly. We schedule Students on a first come, first served basis!

If you have already applied for and have your Certificate of Eligibility, please submit your CoE, a copy of your
“Member 4” DD214, and the “Change of Program” VA form 22-1995 to Tuner School, along with your application and $100 application fee. If you are using VA benefits transferred from a parent or spouse, have already been approved and received your Certificate of Eligibility, please submit your CoE and your “Change of Program” VA form 22-1995 along with you application and $100.00 application fee.
If you have not applied to use your benefits, please read the following instructions, then click the link below.
If you are using your own earned benefits, apply through VONAAP (Veteran’s Online Application) and print out VA form 22-1990. Submit the completed form to Tuner School as proof of application for benefits. You will also need to submit a copy of your “Member 4” DD214. Please submit your CoE, and all required documentation as soon as possible. DO NOT wait until you get your CoE to send the required documents. This could significantly slow the registration process. Send everything in that you have as soon as you have it!
If you are using transferred benefits from a parent or spouse, apply through VONAPP and print out VA form 22-1990e. Submit the completed form as proof of application for benefits. Since you were not the original recipient of the benefits, you are not required to submit a “Member 4” copy of a DD214. You WILL need to submit a “Change of Program” VA form 22-1995 along with your 1990e. As soon as you have received your CoE, please submit it. DO NOT wait until you get your CoE to send in the required documents. This could significantly slow the registration process. Send everything that you have as soon as you have it!
